Ranjan Tomar, Currently pursuing PhD from Amity University, Noida is a lawyer by profession and a social worker by choice, started water conservation efforts from his little village in Noida , now he is working in various capacities in varied fields of Environment Protection to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDG’s) ,In the Field of Environment specially water conservation, wildlife protection , Tree Plantations, Spreading Awareness about environment and related fields, Blogger about social evils like corruption, Gender Inequality ,Caste System etc., Democratic decentralization through his constant efforts to provide power to the common man by strengthening the local bodies called ‘Panchayats’ , ensuring accountability of public offices by his struggle against the bureaucracy, he is also a Right to Information (RTI) activist and has used the same to fight corruption, weeding out the Parking Mafia in his region, he has fought to strengthen the Citizen Charter statute which has potential to fight the problems of climate change and achieve sustainability in the whole world , His RTI revelations ranging from Ministry of Home Affairs,Ministry of environment and climate change to National Highways Authority of India ,Reserve Bank of India etc have recently made waves and forced policy makers to provide relief to the affected.
With the help of his friends he found a social working NGO called ‘Youth Leaders of Noida’ and Noida Village Residents Association, of which he is also the president, they have been working in various fields like education, dissemination of Information about various policies of Government, using Citizen Charter as a tool to achieve SDG’s, strengthening the economically weaker sections of society ,Tree Plantation Drives as also drives to save them due to ill treatment meted out by private as well as public entities. Traffic safety issues and others. he has been involved in city duties like the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Garbage disposal and other similar issues.
Has been Instrumental in forcing the City Administration to build more than 80 public toilets, Controlling Parking rates, providing rights of jobs and civic amenities to 81 villages of Noida,recently pressurised the authorities to build public toilets in Noida Villages, fight to get back the citizen charter app and strengthen the same to help a million population of the city. Spearheaded a campaign to integrate African Students through a dialogue with them and Noida Villagers under Mr. Ranjan so that both of them can fight discrimination as well as work for the betterment of the society as a whole.
A booklet written by Mr.Ranjan on Right to Information Act, 2005, was published , it is named ‘A common Man’s Guide to the RTI ACt, 2005’, and is making waves internationally, the special feature of this book is that it is free of cost.
Recently also wrote a booklet on ‘Citizen Charter’ and how it can be used to attain sustainable development goals as provided by the United Nations.
His recent RTI’s about environment conservation ,the killing of Tigers, Elephants,One Horned Rhinos, Snow leopards,Ganges Dolphin and other endangered species by poachers have been in the headlines in national and international media and have made larger impact through awareness that has been generated through these multiple RTI’s, in a letter written to the Prime Ministers office, he gave suggestions to save 280 Endangered species which was acknowledged by the PMO and it replied saying his suggestions would soon be incorporated into a new plan to save these species of flora and fauna , also his letter to the ministry of Environment and forest bore results with the ministry agreeing to incorporate his suggestions and also chalking out new policies for saving the Elephants from poachers.
Was Awarded the ‘Enviro Care Ambassador Award’ for starting a movement of Water Conservation in his region, first making his village and then his sector a model in the region for water conservation, Ranjan has been involved in taking steps in various directions as he see’s problems with a perspective to change them into opportunities.
Recently won the coveted ‘World Youth Award’ at the World Youth Conference 2016 for his contribution to the society , social endeavors ,empowering Youth and citizens and working for sustainable development, only ten youth leaders won the award from participating 90 countries !
Started the year with the ‘India’s Top 100 young Leaders Award 2017’ organized by the Indian Youth Forum recently held in New Delhi and now selected for the ‘Delhi Youth Award’ 2017 as organized by India Youth Foundation.
Recently Won the BCR award 2017 for Social work and The Social Achievers Award 2017 from Green Earth Patron Foundation,Bihar Leadership award from International Institutional Organisation 2017.
Was awarded as ‘Youngest Social Activist of the Year’ by the Journalist Council of India’ at an event held in December 2017 !
Won the Social Achievers Award at a National Conference organised by CHESD, Centre for Health and Environment studies and Ministry of Environment and Forest and Climate Change Government of India in Dehradun in January 2018

Poaching numbers of wildlife reduced considerably for example more than 80 SPRF personnel recruited in kaziranga to reduce poaching of one horned rhinos after my RTI revealed rising poaching same can be verified from website by searching the name , have worked for Tigers , Elephants ,Ganges Dolphin , musk deer , snow leopard and other wild life in IUCN Red list , Work done in village empowerment through one of its kind Village Body in India of 81 villages in Noida , public toilets revolution in NCR region initiated, Racial accord through Indo African friendship with Noida Village Residents, worked against corruption in Noida region , against plastic use , terror related news , sustainable development related efforts among others for the betterment of society and empowerment of youngsters , women , wildlife and rural residents of the country.
Recently in December 2021 , his RTI revelations forced the Maharasthra CM Shri Uddhav Thakarey to give a written reply in the assembly on rising number of Tiger Deaths and poaching in the state and ways in which the same will be curbed by steps taken by the government , the issue was also raised in Madhya Pradesh Assembly , which is also another state with highest number of Tiger deaths and poaching.
