In the making- Critical Thinkers and Problem Solvers using Technology | Chetna Goyal

I am a passionate educator and a lifelong learner who believes that research is the foundation of innovation. I want to support the learning of my students with innovation and connect my ideas with students to make them real-life problem solvers and critical thinkers . I aimed to help my student fraternity become inquirers and thinkers; to take on real-world challenges; and to seek solutions. I want my students and learners to be equipped and enabled with technological tools and concepts to build solutions for mankind and sustainable goals. I penned down all my experiments with technology and always strive to make my students competent and innovative. In pursuit of this aim, I wrote books for Grades XI and XII in Computer Science and Informatics Practices based on the CBSE curriculum. Teaching is a learning process, and I always focus on teaching in a new and exciting way to help students learn the theory of various subjects and also enable them to perform real-time experiments for a holistic understanding of the topics. According to Jean Piaget’s famous theory, “children are encouraged to discover themselves through spontaneous interactions with the environment.” Likewise, I also aim to ignite curiosity in children by providing them with ample opportunities for hands-on experiences in which they use all their senses to attain relevant knowledge. My books and experiments in the classroom help students become critical thinkers, and this motivates me to plan and think about more real-life situations and more scenarios to make them understand the complexities and design solutions with technology. I am able to provide my students with activities on subject matters to learn and teach with ICT. Dedication is belief translated into action, which is transformed into change. I firmly believe that dedication and continued effort towards your dream can make a difference in life.
