Clean Hills, Green Hills: A Call for Collective Action

An Exclusive Interview with Shri Gunjan Mehta on Achievers Talk

Nature has given us abundant beauty in the form of hills, forests, rivers, and wildlife, but are we truly taking care of this gift? As we progress towards modernization, our hills are silently witnessing the brunt of pollution, deforestation, and ecological imbalance. It’s time to act!

To address this pressing concern, National Human Welfare Council has launched the “Clean Hills, Green Hills Drive”—a visionary sustainability solutions program dedicated to reviving the purity of our hills. This initiative is not just about cleaning the environment; it is about restoring the soul of nature.

A Mission to Make a Difference

The Clean Hills, Green Hills Drive is a people-led movement focused on:

  • Cleaning drive campaigns to remove plastic and waste from hills.
  • Afforestation efforts to bring back native tree species.
  • Eco-friendly tourism awareness to prevent further damage.
  • Celebrating sustainable heroes—featuring the best initiatives, motivational stories, and grassroots change-makers on Achievers Talk.
  • Recognition and Awards on Special Ocassion and throughout the year to honor those making an impact.

Mera Ghosla: A Sustainable Partner for Birds & Biodiversity

Amidst the mission to clean and green our hills, another silent crisis needs attention—the loss of natural habitats for birds, especially sparrows and other tiny species. As a committed sustainability partner, Mera Ghosla has joined hands with this initiative to bring a meaningful impact to biodiversity conservation.

How Mera Ghosla Contributes?

  •  With every Clean Hills, Green Hills Drive, we will install Bird Houses—adopted by ecosystem partners.
  • Creating a safe nesting space for birds in forests, villages, and tourist sites.
  • Promoting eco-tourism and responsible traveling that encourages people to respect nature.
  • Encouraging individuals, corporates, and government bodies to adopt nesting solutions for bird conservation.

“If we show humanity towards nature, nature will take care of us in return.”

The Clean Hills, Green Hills Drive is not just an event; it’s a movement towards a greener future. By integrating sustainability solutions, supporting biodiversity, and recognizing those who make an impact, we are sowing the seeds of a brighter tomorrow. The collaboration with Mera Ghosla & Global Confederation of NGOs adds another beautiful dimension to this mission, ensuring that birds, the messengers of nature, continue to thrive in their natural habitats. Let’s join hands to make our hills pollution-free, rich in biodiversity, and a place of harmony for all species with more on ground Volunteers.”
