Faridabad: Celebrating the spirit of inclusivity, resilience, and empowerment, the Faridabad unit of Saksham celebrated its Foundation Day with great fervor on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The grand event was organized in the serene premises of the historic Sant Surdas Temple in Sihi Village, Sector 8, Faridabad—a fitting tribute to the legacy of the legendary blind saint-poet.
The event stood as a powerful testament to the incredible potential of differently-abled (Divyang) individuals, bringing together prominent administrative leaders, social workers, and inspiring change-makers on a single platform.

Cultural Brilliance and Sporting Pride
The celebrations commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by a soulful rendition of the Saksham Geet by the Faridabad District President, Shri Ravi Yadav.
The highlight of the day was a series of vibrant cultural performances curated by the differently-abled students, meticulously coordinated under the guidance of Smt. Renu Agarwal and Shri Manoranjan Tiwari. The sheer talent and energy displayed by the children left the entire audience visibly moved and spellbound.
Adding to the inspiration, prominent members of the Haryana Wheelchair Cricket National Team, including star players Shri Rajesh Ji and Shri Vinay Ji, attended the event, embodying the ultimate spirit of sportsmanship and triumph over adversity.
Honoring the Guardians of Inclusivity
In alignment with Saksham’s vision of environmental and social sustainability, all distinguished guests were honored by the Faridabad executive committee with green saplings and the prestigious “Saksham Divyang Mitra Samman Patra” (Friend of the Differently-Abled Honor Letter) for their continuous support to the cause.

“True development is achieved only when the last person in the queue is empowered. Saksham is committed to breaking barriers and creating an equitable ecosystem for our Divyang brothers and sisters.”
